Darragh Gilleece

Dr Darragh Gilleece is an Irish pianist, educator, composer, and Examiner for the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM). He holds a PhD in Musicology, focusing on Schubert's piano duets and their role in pedagogy, alongside qualifications in performance and piano pedagogy from RIAM, Maynooth University and Trinity College London. He has presented his research at national and international conferences and has received several accolades, including awards from the Swiss and Austrian Embassies.
A passionate composer of educational music, Darragh's works regularly appear in international examination books and syllabi, including those of RIAM, Music Teachers' Board, Universal Music Exams and more. He collaborated with QuietlifeMusic (UK), with several compositions published in piano method books used at RIAM. His published works include First Steps 1 & 2 with Forsyth Publications, Jazztopia with Clifton Edition and most recently, Spooky Wooky Waltz with Alfred Music.
