This is the arrangement for Wind Band and Bassoon, arranged by Pat Goddard and premiered on the 1991 UK tour by the RAF Central Band. To listen to Pat playing Buffoonery with the RAF massed bands at the Albert Hall performance on that tour, see below.

This piece was originally written for the trombonist Michael Skitt, as the final ‘prank’ movement of a concerto for trombone and orchestra (orchestral material available). By popular request, the piece was published for instrument and piano (C606) and has since been proved equally entertaining for either trombone, bassoon, cello, alto or tenor saxophones with piano accompaniment! This book includes alternative parts for Bassoon, Trombone, Cello, Alto or Tenor Saxophone, Piano, plus optional downloadable backing tracks.

Duration: 4 – 5 minutes.
