Mark Adelman began studying classical piano at the age of six, switching to jazz in his early teens. As a professional musician he has toured extensively, playing the premier jazz festivals and clubs, as well as the legendary Carnegie Hall.

As a teacher he has sought to introduce his pupils to jazz in an accessible way.
